These were – and may well remain today – clandestine networks of journalists, scholars, politicians and military and intelligence operatives, which the Initiative could mobilise to disseminate black propaganda, therefore influencing policy and perceptions, targeting domestic and overseas adversaries. One little-known example of the potency of clusters was an aggressive campaign to falsely connect Julian with the Kremlin.

The political and media establishment is terrified of the widespread public opposition to the mass death and destruction and that opposition’s increasing depth and breadth within the population. The establishment is desperate to find ways and means of keeping the reality from reaching the public.

EDITOR—The Israeli propaganda machine and the Western media have been making a big amount of noise about HAMAS using civilians or prisoners as “human shields”. While that accusation needs to be carefully examined before accepting it at face value, there’s no need to wait to see that the IDF routinely, and for a long time, has used Palestinians, usually kids, as human shields. There is a mountain of evidence proving that tragic fact.
