The roundtable examines numerous topics including increasingly overt media duplicity, possible candidates for US president in 2024, and the general incompetence and decline of Western Imperialism.

PRECIS
The panel agrees that an urgent issue is the countering and breaking of the capitalist/imperialist semi-monopoly on mass communication access, and the West's still dominant pop culture, a fact that allows the West to manufacture consent at will, and the circulation of self-serving narratives across the globe.
At this point, although this is gradually changing, neither China nor Russia possess equivalent "soft power". Meanwhile, as the Ukraine War has shown, and the recent Israel/Palestinian war has proved again, the West has built and is shamelessly using a veritable Orwellian "Ministry of Truth" to spawn wars under false pretexts almost anywhere the ruling elites decide, and to effectively neutralise antiwar mobilisation.
The issues are usually couched in ostensibly legitimate reasons, such as "self-defence", or "the need to intervene anywhere on the globe to protect human rights." The American hegemon, of course, is famous for seeing threats everywhere, and its paranoia, real or fake, given its colossal economic, political , and "security " interests (never properly defined) is hardly surprising.
The left must find a way to create the groundwork for a global public education platform or some sort of mass permanent campaign to teach people how to examine media messages, from basic class analysis and examination of "news and commentary" according to sources, to more sophisticated ways of understanding world affairs. Only the enabling of the mass public to detect and push back against widely disseminated lies by the global plutocracy can accelerate humanity's liberation, while fortifying the prospects for justice and peace.

Yes, all true. Biden is flying to Israel to prevent a spreading of hostilities because that would prevent his re-election. At the same time a large flotilla of war ships is sent to the Eastern Mediterranean to form a deterrence (most of US show of might is of that sort). War between Israel and Iran seemed averted if it were a possibility, but with the bombing of the Northern Gaza hospital, a greater inensity of the conflicts will come. International politics are heavy power games for this West devoid of clever and devious maneuvering diplomacy. The game for balances reached by diplomats is redundant in present-day politics. It is weighty war machinery and obscene propaganda (meaning a thorough and many-layered web of lies), that direct international relationships. Awesome discussion, a solid panel. Thinking people, for the most part, have lost faith in the US as a legitimate “world leader”, a title typical of US mentality–in fact manufactured by the Anglos—with their deep attachment to power hierarchies.
